This is one of my favourite places to sit in Bristol. On a warm and sunny day, being perfect to relax and eat lunch while watching the world go by. I particularly love seeing 'Under The Stars' quietly sitting in the dock, adding an element of romance and narritive. However, the biggest inspiration for this painting has been the siluetted figures, especially the couple at the centre as they sit resting on one another. There is a real expression of love and warmth between the two figures, becoming the focal point of the painting.
