There are so many things about winter that I love, the need to wrap up warm and cosy, the dark nights and the gradual state of hibernation that can bring so much rest and warmth. However, this time of year can also be quite challenging. The days so short, often cold and bleak. Endless rain and a heaviness that can be hard to shake off. 
Yet this can all be turned around in the space of a moment. For me, there is nothing quite as beautiful and cleansing as a clear winters day, walking on this beach that I love so much. A sun that fills the sky, radiating all the heat and energy that has been lost and reawakening a sense of freedom and joy.
